This 2-hour lecture focuses on understanding what whiteness represents and what privileges are. In a didactic way, the lecture will present how racism affects us all in different ways, some subjected to a set of oppressions and others subjected to a set of privileges. The lecture shows how this structure was formed and how it affects us today. It is an important moment for reflection and understanding of how racism operates in our society.

Methodology

The lecture is delivered in a very innovative way where participants interact directly with the discussion through elements such as music, videos, and dynamics that encourage participation and understanding of what whiteness and privilege represent.
