Since April 2025, citizens of the United States generally need a Brazilian eVisa before traveling to Brazil.
We strongly recommend starting the process as early as possible. Processing may take several weeks, particularly if there are issues with the documentation or photograph submitted.
What you will generally need
The eVisa application is completed online and typically requires:
A valid passport

- Personal and travel information
- Flight information
- Proof of financial means, when applicable
- Payment of the visa fee

After approval
